About Us

Rocky's Boxing is a full-service boxing gym and training/conditioning center located in the heart of North Carolina's boxing country at 319 Wicker Street, Sanford NC 27330.  

The facility is a traditional-style gym as opposed to being class-oriented, although there are various clinics and workshops that take place periodically (advanced notice is given). For the most part, it is an open gym with instruction catering to the individual member.

Individual boxers have varied goals, styles, skill sets, learning paces, and personal schedules. A class environment can be intimidating for a slow learner, or someone who is less physically fit than other gym members, as it can be frustrating for a national Golden Gloves champion or a pro boxer who desires to come in and work on a very specific skill for an hour or two. An open gym with individualized instruction can make it easier for people to accomplish their personal goals, whether their goals consist of losing a few pounds or winning a professional title.

Head Coach Rocky Alexander has been involved in boxing since 1984. He's worked with such fighters as former boxing Heavyweight Champion Tommy Morrison and UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jake "Tito" Ortiz. He is currently certified by USA Boxing.
