Rocky's Boxing took Braulio Mireles to compete in the Whiteville Boxing Show this past Saturday. This competition consisted of top boxers from PA, VA, and all over NC. Braulio got the win and extended his record to 6-1 for the year, with his only loss coming at the Golden Gloves National Championship Finals.

Rocky's Boxing packed up and went to Charlotte this past
weekend to throw down with some of the best boxers in the Southeast United States at the 2010 Queen City Invitational.
Matt Blackburn moved up a weight class this time, fighting at light welterweight. Although Matt boxed beautifully, he fell victim to a well-timed uppercut to the chin late in the first round and lost by referee stoppage. It must be said that Blackburn displayed heart that was absolutely inspiring.
On the flipside, multi-champ Braulio Mireles racked up another win at welterweight, defeating a truly great fighter in a close points battle. Good fighting guys!

Rocky's Boxing congratulates our newest Champions, Matt Blackburn and Solomon Gary! Both demonstrated some amazing boxing skills against some outstanding fighters at the Spring Lake event Saturday night. Blackburn came away with the Lightweight belt, while Solomon brought home the Light Heavyweight belt. Proof that hard work pays off! Special thanks to FYAL club of Spring Lake for hosting the killer show!

We came, we saw, we conquered! The NC State Championships...Sid Vicious...routine, Baby, routine! Another 1st-round tko. Sanford, say hello to your new champ!

The Oak City Classic turned out to be a fantastic event. Sid "Vicious" Victorero added one more win to his record, forcing (another) 1st-round referee stoppage (tko). Keep it up, Sid!
